Who We Are
We are the first Female Black apprentice network (BFAN) for aspiring females wanting to pursue a degree apprenticeship or expand their network in general, where people who share similar aspects can be in one community. The BFAN is a new growing network for aspiring and current apprentices of African and Caribbean individuals where they can expand their network, grow and connect with each other, giving them a helping hand to succeed in the future.
Our mission is to provide resources, connections, and mentorship opportunities to help black women excel in the workforce and break barriers in traditionally male-dominated fields. Join us and become a part of a strong network of Back Female apprentices creating a positive impact in their communities.
Our Goals, vision and Values
My goal is to grow the Black Female Apprentice Network into a space that truly connects people where companies and young Black women can find each other and build real opportunities together. I want to work with organizations that see our value, that are ready to invest in new talent, and that believe in creating space for us to grow and succeed.
For me, it's about more than just apprenticeships, it's about opening doors, building confidence, and helping the next generation step into their careers with support and community behind them.
I see the Black Female Apprentice Network as a space where we can show up fully as ourselves supported, inspired, and connected. It's about creating opportunities, sharing knowledge, and reminding each other that we belong in every room we step into. I want BFAN to be a community that builds confidence, celebrates our wins, and helps us grow together, so that the next generation of Black women apprentices has an even stronger foundation to stand on.
COMMITMENT – For us, commitment means pushing past barriers and showing up with courage, consistency, and excellence for ourselves, each other, and the next generation.
COMMUNITY – Community is our foundation. It's where we're seen, supported, and celebrated. At BFAN, we grow together, sharing stories, wins, and struggles that strengthen us all.
CREATIVITY – Creativity is how we express, build, and dream. It's in our work, our style, and our vision. At BFAN, it's the force that helps us shape the future on our own terms.
